NAIDOC Week 2021

NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The theme for this year’s NAIDOC Week is “Heal Country”. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by all Australians. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and support our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

Given the importance of the week, and the fact that these dates are in the school holidays, CHPS is holding our ‘own’ NAIDOC Week between Monday 26th July and Friday 30th July. Staff will be integrating appropriate resources into their teaching that week and COVID-19 restrictions permitting, we will be organising some special events for the students.
