Owen Walsh

Owen Walsh from Year 5 is currently a member of the Australian Boys Choral Institute. 

In exciting news, Owen has recently been promoted to the rank of Junior Singer within the Choir training program. He has qualified for his next rank and was meant to be installed on May 30, but due to the current restrictions, the official ceremony is now expected to take place on August 1. This important transition marks a significant step in Owen's training. 

In graduating from the Tyro program to Junior Singers, he has consolidated his musical knowledge, participated in our weekend residential programs, and made considerable headway with his performance skills. Boys at this level have built a considerable repertoire and can independently sight-read and sing simple melodies.  Promotion to the rank of Junior Singer is also contingent on the development of a good, focused rehearsal manner and mastery of all Tyro skills - each of which requires much practice, persistence, and a good deal of patience in itself.
