Masks

All people 12 years and over (unless their is a medical exemption) must comply with the mask law.https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/face-masks

Issue

A higher proportion of students have required masks from the school this time around.
The school has a limited supply of masks that can be handed out to students.

Solution

Can we ask that students pack an emergency mask in case their mask breaks during the day.
The General Office will keep a list of students who require a mask.
Students who are repeat mask borrowers will be supported in the appropriate manner.

Let's work together, to stay safe. Requirement for masks-organisation is the key.

CSEF (Camps, Sports, Excursion Fund)

Please note that applications for Camps, Sports, Excursion Fund (CSEF) deadline has been extended until 13 August 2021 for this year. Applications cannot be accepted after this date. If your circumstances have changed and/or you have a current Health Care Card and haven't yet submitted a CSEF Form this year, please complete the attached application form.

It can be emailed to: fairhills.hs@education.vic.gov.auInformation on eligibility can be found on the reverse side of the form.

Student Absences

If your child will be absent or late due to illness or for any other reason, parents/guardians are able to choose one of the following options:

mark their absence on Compass
send an email to the school: fairhills.hs@education.vic.gov.au
call 9758 5022 and leave a message after the prompt. The absence line is operational 24hrs a day, 7 days a week for your convenience.

If a student arrives at school late they should report to their classroom teacher.

If a student is required to leave school early for any reason they should bring a note from their parent/guardian and record this on Compass.

Asthma/Diabetes/Anaphylaxis/Epilepsy

If your child has a medical alert for ASTHMA, DIABETES, ANAPHYLAXIS or EPILEPSY the school MUST be supplied with a new Management Plan every 12 months. Please ensure you have provided this to the office in the best interest of your child.

Lost Property

If your child has misplaced anything at school - please ask that they check at the School Office.

School Uniforms which are named are returned to students as soon as they are handed in (please check that your student has his/her name clearly marked on each item of school uniform).

Uniform Shop

The on-site Uniform Shop is open every Thursday from 12.00pm - 4.00pm during school terms. It is closed during school holidays.

Second-hand items - if you have any uniforms or books that are no longer being used and you would like to donate them to the school, please bring them to the General Office.
