Year 7 2022 Padua Interviews

 

Please be advised that all Year 7 2022 interviews that were scheduled over our camp week have been rescheduled to Monday 23rd August. Communications have been sent to all families from Padua College.

Book Week is coming

The theme for 2021 is “Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds” 

  1. Book Week Day is Thursday August 26th (Week 7):
  2. Whole School Parade 9-9.45am (in hall) to show off student/teacher dress ups
  3. Author/illustrator (Susan Berran) visits all cohorts from 10am-3.30pm:
    1. 10-11am: 5/6
    2. 11.30-12.30pm: 3/4
    3. 12.30-1.30pm: P-2
    4. 2.30-3.30pm: ‘final word’: selected group of enthusiastic writers

Dress Up: 

Theme “Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds”  

Please note that the previously published categories were for staff dress up themes only. All children are invited to dress up as their favourite book character or as anything that matches the book week theme. We always welcome creativity and understand that with the recent lockdown announcement that finding costumes may be challenging. 

Book Fair

As always dependent on COVID restrictions but if you are able to help us with Book fair preparations and decorations (even working from home) Please contact us at school and let us know. The Book Fair will be onsite from Friday 20th August until Thursday 26th August. Students will be able to make their wish list and visit the book fair with their class through the week. To celebrate Book Week we will be holding a raffle to go into the draw to win a range of amazing books. There are lots of amazing books up for grabs! Tickets and flyers will be sent home shortly.

 

Kids Helpline - Anytime, anywhere

Providing our students with access to a helpline especially in the holiday period is important. Part of being at school every day comes the knowledge that our students have responsible adults around them all day to help them if they feel unsafe. Kids helpline exists to help kids anytime, anywhere.
