WELLBEING

Student voice, agency and leadership

You will perhaps have heard these words in relation to your child's education, and indeed they may be terms that you find in their academic reports, but what do they really mean?

Below you will find a pair of diagrams that highlight the roles and purpose of these concepts in current, research based educational practice and how student voice, agency and leadership help to shape greater learning outcomes for our students.

Every child has agency, voice and leadership potential and as a community we strive to create learning opportunities both within the classroom and informally that help our children engage with authentic learning and develop deep set skills that they take with themselves out into their world.

If you find yourselves short on dinner table conversation take the time to ask your child about their day - but specifically about how they influenced or took the lead in their own learning today.
