P&C AGM Meeting and P&C Membership 

The P&C AGM will be held on Thursday March 16th at 4:30pm in the PBSS Staff Room.  

 

After an amazing year of fundraising and hugely successful events the current Executive Team are moving on, which makes way for a new team of executives to fill their positions.  

All Executive Member positions are open for nomination (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary) as well as the role of Fundraising Coordinator.  If you're interested in being a part of a fun team or would just like to know more, please get in touch with us here pandc@palmbeachss.eq.edu.au 

 

The 2022 P&C have achieved so much together, making a positive impact on the students and wider PBSS community.  Together and with your support the P&C have run the following events and made the following donations: 

P&C Events

  • GYG Meal Deal Day 
  • Christmas in July Raffle 
  • Sushi Meal Deal Day 
  • Paddle Pop Friday Frenzy 
  • Father's Day Stall

  • Christmas Split the Pot Raffle 
  • Christmas Concert 

P&C Donations to date (more planned prior to AGM) 

  • $1000 Community Garden 2022  
  • $4000 towards Prep Play Area  
  • $2200 towards New Flag Poles for the school 
  • $5000 classroom supplies for the teachers of 2023 
  • $1050 towards Catering for Palm Beach State School Staff including Cleaning Staff Day 
  • $5000 towards New School Gazebos with Sport House Names and Colours 
  • $700 towards Schools Chaplaincy  

Without a P&C the above events and donations aren’t possible, so please get involved.  

 

As a parent of a student at our school, you are not automatically a member of the P&C. To become a member, please submit your membership form for approval at the upcoming AGM. Please find the membership at the link below and send it to pandcsecretarypbss@gmail.com 

 

This means that should an issue arise during the school year which you feel strongly about, and you are a member, you will be able to vote on the matter and have your say.   

Being part of the P&C is a great way to meet other parents and be involved in fundraising and supporting the school community. As a member of the P&C you have the opportunity to join the conversation on how funds raised are spent to enhance your child’s school experience.

Slime Spectacular Fun Run 

It’s almost time to be SLIMED!!!!! 

Palm Beach State School P&C is hosting a Slime Spectacular School Fun Run fundraiser on Friday 10th March!  

For students to participate in the Slime Run, they MUST

  1. Be registered online at www.plantadifference.com.au to start their fundraising AND
  2. Return their permission slip by Monday 6th March. See link below for a copy of the permission slip.

By fundraising, students are raising funds for our wonderful school as well as going green!  

For every $20 raised online, a tree will be planted in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor or a coral seedling will be planting in the Great Barrier Reef. 

 

On the Day: 

  • Please make sure students arrive at school in a WHITE t-shirt and an old pair of shorts (free dress day) and closed in shoes, ready for the event.  
  • Please make sure students pack a change of clothes a towel and a plastic bag for after the event.  
  • Students will be given sunglasses and a rainbow headband for the event and receive an ice block after the run. 
  • Students will be covered in non-toxic water-based slime from head to toe! (Safety data sheet is available upon request for the Slime.)

Parents Welcome and Volunteers:

Parents are welcome to come along and witness the Sliming.  Please also reach out if you are interested in volunteering at the Slime Run event pandc@palmbeachss.eq.edu.au

There are amazing prizes for the 3 students and the class that raises the most money.  

1st Prize - $100 worth of gift cards, Rebound Land super pass, DHD Performance Surfboards brand hats and Towel, Tuckshop vouchers and gift hamper with assorted goodies.  

2nd Prize - $80 worth of gift cards, Rebound Land Super pass DHD Performance Surfboards brand hat and Towel, Tuckshop vouchers and gift hamper with assorted goodies.  

3rd Prize - $40 worth of gift cards, DHD Performance Surfboards brand hat, Tuckshop vouchers and gift hamper with assorted goodies.  

Winning Class - Pizza Party, kindly donated by Dominos Palm Beach.
