SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!

šŸ¾ Welcome Lulu šŸ¾

We are excited to announce that we are about to launch the Dogs Connect program in our school. This is a whole school wellbeing program which will see the introduction of a wellbeing dog named Lulu into our St. Brigidā€™s community. We have no doubt Lulu will become a much loved and important member of our community. The Dogs Connect program will support us in implementing this very gradually, thoroughly, and considerately. At this stage we encourage anyone who would like to know more about this program to look through the website link below: https://dogsconnect.net.au but we will be sending out lots of updates and communication before she arrives. As part of our process, you will receive an Operoo survey in the coming days, that asks you to provide information about your childā€™s experiences and attitudes towards dogs. Your help will be valuable for us in our planning.

Ā

Luluā€™s introduction will be a gradual process, with the initial focus of her time at St. Brigidā€™s to be how to learn to relax in such a stimulating and dynamic environment. We have a CORE team of staff who will lead this program and implement it into our community in a safe, calm and considerate manner.Ā  We would also like to assure the community that this program will not involve anyone who does not wish to be involved. We know that this work will have a really positive impact on many people in our community, and we acknowledge and respect that connection with our wellbeing dog will be offered on a great variety of levels.

Ā

We will also hold a parent/student online information chat at a date to be advised in the next few weeks to discuss any questions you may have.

Ā

We thank you in advance for your support and excitement in welcoming Lulu to our beautiful community. We know she is going to be very loved and cared for.Ā

And the winner is Brigid!!!! Congratulations to this years Swimming Carnival champions Brigid.

Ā

On the 10th of February we held our new look swimming carnival.Ā  The day involved our Middle and Senior students trialing for the upcoming Interschool Swimming carnival in the morning.Ā  There were so many wonderful performances with every student giving their best effort for their house.Ā  The afternoon was a sea of colour as the whole school arrived at the pool for an afternoon of novelty event rotations.Ā  A very big thank you to our wonderful parent helpers, without your support these days simply couldnā€™t run. We wish our Interschool swimming team the best of luck for their race day on the 22nd of February.
