Welcome back to school for 2023.  I hope you all had a good break. I went to spend time in Sweden with family. Here are a few photos of school life in Northern Sweden. 

Asthma

Every year there is a rise in asthma flare-ups when children return to school after the summer holidays. This results in an increase in Emergency Department visits, hospitalisations and days off. Schools require an up-to-date Asthma Action Plan completed by a doctor for each student with asthma at the start of the new school year. 

An appointment with the school Doctor can be made to complete this (primary school students must be accompanied by their parent/carer.)

Make sure your students reliever medication is in date with enough medication remaining and purchase a spacer (and mask if age appropriate) for use at school if they don’t have one. 

Secondary School Vaccination Program

Vaccination consent form have been sent home for year 7& 10 students. Please complete and return the form even if the answer is no. 

Dental Van Forms and Visit

The Dental Van will be at Wedderburn College for 3 weeks from March 20th. Consent forms will be sent home with students this week. Regardless of whether you completed documentation in 2022 you are required to resubmit for 2023.

Please complete and return the consent forms asap to the Front Office.  Thank you
