We have had a busy two weeks since our last newsletter. Last week Meet the Teacher interviews were held with classes across the school except Foundation. Foundation parents will have an opportunity to officially meet their child's class teacher later in the term, details will be provided soon. 

Home Reading

In Foundation to Year 2, all students have now begun their home reading program, with reader diaries and home readers being sent home this week. Foundation and Year 1 students have been very busy learning about phonics through the Little Learners Love Literacy Program. We would love your support in helping remind the students to pack their purple reader bag and bring it to school every day. 

Sentral Push Notifications

The Sentral for Parents app allows you to monitor your child’s school journey simply and efficiently. You will find numerous smart features that help streamline your day. Receive messages and notifications from teachers, report absences, approve permission forms and make payments for school activities and more. The Sentral for Parents app helps you stay connected and informed about your child’s education.

We encourage families to enable push notifications on the Sentral Parent Portal App to keep up to date. 

Library

We have officially opened our library for the school year with students beginning to have library time with their classes and borrowing. Prior to the library opening we undertook an audit over overdue library books. We have a significant number of books still overdue from last year, if you come across any library books at home we would appreciate if you could send them back to school.

Curriculum Day

Next Friday 24th February we will beholding a curriculum, this is a student free day. If you need supervision on this day Big Childcare will be running their full day program.
