Happy Monday! Hope you all had a relaxing weekend.
The P&F are planning for a fun-filled, successful school year, filled with community events, fundraisers and much more. As usual, we will communicate with you via the weekly school newsletter and via skoolbag notifications. Please check these regularly so that you don’t miss out on any important information.
We would also like to invite more of you to join our team. We meet approximately once a month and share the duties of each of the events that are organised. As you know, more hands make for lighter work, so we would really appreciate all the help we can get. There is no expectation that members attend every single meeting, or that they participate in every activity/event planned – it is strictly a help as you can role!
We look forward to seeing more of you at our monthly meetings AND we look forward to working with you at the upcoming COMMUNITY DAY. Thank you.

On Friday 17th March at 3 pm, the P&F will be hosting the first uniform stall for 2023, in the Hawthorn Street yard. At this stall, you can purchase pre-loved, good-quality school uniforms for fantastic prices. There are only 2 requirements –
* We would also like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all the families who continue to donate their pre-loved school uniforms, it is much appreciated. However, we would also like to make you aware of the condition that we require the school uniforms to be in, for re-sale:
We simply request that you forward any uniform that you would comfortably allow your own child to wear. In addition to this, if we end up with too many items that we need to dispose of, it adds to an unwanted landfill, which is an environmental concern and furthermore becomes a school COST to remove. We thank you for your understanding on this matter and we look forward to receiving many more of your preloved school uniforms J.
That’s right! You’ll see us at Bunnings Coburg (Gaffney St.) on Sunday 5th March. This event is one of our biggest fundraisers, so we need YOUR HELP. In the coming weeks, further information will be released about this event, but for now… PLEASE SAVE THE DATE. We ask that you sign up as a volunteer to assist at the sausage sizzle, the link has been sent out via the SkoolBag app. The experience is always fun, always goes quickly and is always greatly appreciated. Thanks.
On Sunday 19th March, St. Fidelis will be hosting a ‘Community Day’. It will run from 12 pm – 4 pm and be comprised of FOUR MAJOR COMPONENTS:
As you could imagine, the P&F committee alongside the school administration is busily planning for this event. It is an important event as we are hoping to gain future student enrolments, fundraise for the school and as usual, celebrate our school community.
In anticipation of this event, we need YOUR ASSISTANCE in the following way/s:
Closer to the event we will be asking parents to sign up to assist at various stalls/games/activities for this event. Please begin considering how much time you could offer, as it will be impossible to run this event without school community support.
We will also be offering pre-sale tickets to all St. Fidelis' families for use at various activities on the day. Tickets will be sold at $1 per ticket (at the event) however as an early bird sale the following prices will be offered:
Shortly we will release information on how to purchase pre-sale tickets and a specific list of all the games and activities available with costing.
We look forward to helping Manuela host this community day and we know that with your support, this will again prove to be another successful fundraising event for the school with the bonus of ‘bragging’ our wonderful school to the wider community.
Our annual Easter raffle and hot cross bun drive will be running again this year. Details for both events will be released mid–March. As usual, we will be asking for your support with Easter hamper donations, thank you.
What an amazing year of events and FUNdraising we had! We are very lucky that we are part of a school community that values the learning of children and a sense of community – this is evident through the continued support of all the P&F events and activities. THANK YOU to all the P&F members, families of St. Fidelis, Staff and Community businesses that allow us to run these events and yield such wonderful results.
As a school community we raised $23,766.82 in 2022. What an effort, we should all be proud, THANK YOU! $20,000 will be passed on to Manuela and she will continue to use them towards purchases for our children in the library and STEM learning space. What lucky children we have!
Our next meeting is Wednesday 1st March @7pm in the main staff room. We ask that you attend to meet us, join us or assist us 😊 And please, if you have any ideas to help with fundraising or event organisation, general queries relating to P&F NEWS, are able to provide goods/services for use in fundraising events or if you would like to join our team, please contact: JOSIE SERVELLO - 0421 076 580 josieservello@gmail.com
