 Maths

In Number and Algebra, students will continue to investigate numbers through sequencing numbers up to 20 and beyond. We will look at place value and understand how numbers are formed and what they look like as quantities. Students will also develop simple addition and subtraction problems and develop skills counting on from the bigger number to solve addition problems.  

The students will be learning about Ordinal numbers. They will compare and order using the language 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc.

In Measurement and Geometry, the students will learn about 3D shapes. They will explore the differences and similarities of the shapes. They will also identify, name and sort these shapes 

 

Religious Education

The unit this term is ‘How are we welcomed into God’s Family?’ Throughout this unit Students will learn how they can be an active member of our school and parish community. We will look at how God has created us to be disciples and help other people. Students will learn that Jesus can be a role model for the way we should act and serve others. 

 

Inquiry    

Our unit this term is called ‘Around the world Kids’ where students will explore who they are and what makes them unique. They will explore family background and look at the special traditions their family celebrates.
