Cooking

The Spiced Christmas muffins have certainly been a hit as our final cooking rotation for 2021! Teachers lucky enough to secure a muffin to try can vouch for this. As this is our final newsletter for the year, we take this opportunity to thank Mrs O’Keefe for her wonderful ‘kid friendly’ recipes, her support of our Cooking program during Remote and Flexible Learning and for her enthusiasm to teach, learn and cook with our students in the Gallery. We can’t wait to see what next year brings! THANK YOU Mrs O’Keefe, from the Level 3 teachers and students!

Science & Sustainability

In Sustainability the students have been investigating what it means to be Sustainable at home, at School and what Sustainability means on a Global context. To demonstrate their learning students were required to create a ‘Sustainability Poster’ highlighting this important issue. Some examples are below.

In Science, students continued to learn about Endangered Australian animals and what we can do to help protect them. Additionally students considered things we can do to support these animals to be removed from the Endangered Animals list. Below are some posters that our students created.

Garden Harvest & Garden Maintenance

Patty was extremely happy to have our Level 3 students helping him in our gardens. Students engaged with planting, raking, harvesting and maintaining our beautiful fruit, vegetable and herb gardens. A very busy time given it is Spring with lots to do! We take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to Patty for organising all our outdoor planting and harvesting activities.
