Wellbeing & Engagement

Wellbeing and Engagement

I cannot believe that we are again drawing to an end the school year. It has been another eventful year with COVID remaining a central issue despite our hopes it would stay in 2020. We have been so proud of the Rangeview students for their resilience, strength and courage as they managed repeated lockdowns and protracted remote learning. Each time they worked on their daily schedule tasks, joined in their WebEx sessions and then returned to school with enthusiasm and positivity. A huge thank you to all of our Rangeview families for the support and guidance you have all given the students this year. It really is phenomenal.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our staff – teachers, integrations aides, office staff, leadership and our groundsman. It takes a huge team to run a school and our team is an amazing one! The success of our students in relation to their academic achievements, their social and emotional growth and their overall wellbeing, is due in no small part to the Rangeview team. Their efforts, dedication and enthusiasm is evident every day.

Finally, I would like to thank our incredible Principal – Liz Barr. Liz has been the Principal at Rangeview for 11 years. She is a warm, enthusiastic, vibrant and zesty leader. She’s always looking for the next thing, the next program the next pedagogy the next way to improve what we do with the kids in the classrooms and her energy and enthusiasm is infectious. It is because of her that the unofficial motto at Rangeview is - Next time how can we do it bigger? Liz has a talent for grounds in facilities our epic playgrounds, our rock formation retaining walls and our bountiful vegie gardens are a testament to this. Rangeview is a more beautiful exciting and adventurous place because of her. It has been an honour to work with her over the last 4 ½  years and we will miss her in 2022.

Colour Run

We will be running a whole school event to farewell our retiring Principal Liz Barr on Friday 10th December at 2pm. The event will be a Colour Run and it will be a fundraiser for both Canteen and for the school. There will be an entry fee of $15 and students will receive a Canteen Positivity Bandanna and Coloured Glasses. All students can participate regardless of registration and if students choose to not run through the colour that is fine as well. We ask that they wear a white t-shirt for the day. Noel Jones Mitcham will be providing a Coffee Cart for the event. Thank you to Noel Jones.

All adults attending will be required to QR code onto the site and hold a vaccination certificate. Masks to be worn if you cannot socially distance.

Please book your child into this wonderful wellbeing event with the Try Booking link

We are so excited to celebrate the end of the year with all of our Rangeview Community.

We hope that you all have a wonderful festive season and we look forward to welcoming you back for more learning, growing and fun in 2022.
