Level 1 News

It is hard to believe that this school term and year is almost over! Our weeks seem to be busier than ever, but we are starting to enjoy festive end-of-the-year activities.

We have been revising many of the topics we have covered this year. In Maths, we have been revisiting money, adding coins and working out change – very apt in the lead-up to Christmas. In Writing, students researched, planned and wrote a mini-book about an animal of their choice. They loved this task, and created wonderful books on a wide variety of animals.

We recorded our carols on a very hot day, and were so impressed by how focused our Level 1 students were. It was a fun activity with Christmas colours and props galore! A big thank you to Miss Campbell for organising this.

There was much excitement in the lead-up to our Bounce excursion last week, and it did not disappoint! Students (and some energetic staff) had a fabulous time flying through the air, bouncing off walls and warping the laws of gravity. Many students asked if we could go back the next day!

We are savouring the final few weeks with our beautiful classes before they leave our Level 1 nest and head over to Level 2. We have enjoyed this year so much, and will miss these students, but look forward to hearing about the fabulous things they get up to in their new classes. A huge thank you to our incredible Level 1 families, we have appreciated your support this year more than ever. We wish you a safe and happy summer, and hope you enjoy a restful break.
