Learning Power Award Recipients
Congratulations to students who have been recognised by staff for their demonstration of one or many of the 6 Learning Powers celebrated at SMDP.

During Monday's whole school the following students were acknowledged and their learning described so we all know why they are worthy recipients of our awards and applause.

P/1L | Priam | For being a reflective learner who has been using feedback to enhance his writing! Priam has created some entertaining and descriptive narratives and should be very proud of his application to learning. |
P/1S | Deed | For being a motivated learner who continues to try her best and grow in her literacy skills. Deed, you have come so far this year, and it is all because you never give up, and always try your best. You should be extraordinarily proud of all that you have achieved. Great job! |
P/1C | Sofia | For being a collaborative learner who has worked extremely hard with her inquiry project partner to research as much information as possible in the given time frame. She always shares ideas and is the perfect partner to work with. |
2E | Indigo | For being a creative learner who is working hard to make his writing more interesting using sizzling starters, descriptive adjectives and onomatopoeia. Keep challenging yourself. |
2S | Isaac | For being a creative learner who has written an imaginative narrative story on cicadas using interesting words and phrases to hook the reader in. Well done Isaac! |
3/4L | Marcus | For being a motivated learner and completing all of his tasks with a positive attitude while learning from home for the past 2 weeks. Well done Marcus! |
3/4SL | Isabelle | For being a resilient learner who is starting to bounce back when Maths challenges arise by keeping her mind open to new learning opportunities. |
3/4ST | Rose | For being a motivated learner who has worked hard since returning to school and persisted with all of her learning tasks! Well done Rosie! |
5LM | Nate | For being a resilient learner who persisted to put lights into the tunnels he created through the use of circuits. Well done on not giving up even when it was challenging. |
5LB | Srujan & Umraj | For being creative learners in our Inquiry afternoon investigating Roads and design by West Gate Tunnel project. You thought outside the box to put lights into the tunnels you created and investigated independently how circuits work to be successful. |
6L | Marvell | For being a collaborative learner during Science, by effectively working in a pair/team to investigate how circuits work. Well done Marvell! |

P/1L | Lucas | For being a motivated learner who has been taking on all challenging tasks with positivity! Lucas has been trying his best and a little bit more especially in reading where he has learnt lots of new challenging words. |
P/1S | Mehar | for being a motivated and resilient learner with a positive attitude. Mehar, it is sensational to see how focused and driven you are when completing your learning tasks. You constantly give your best effort to complete your work by using your time wisely and asking for help when you need it. Well done and keep up the great effort Mehar! |
P/1C | Ivy | For being a collaborative learner who always shows compassion, kindness and consideration to all peers and staff. She never leaves anyone out and always asks others to join if they are by themselves. We are all lucky to have a friend like you Ivy! |
2E | Oliver | For being a motivated learner who asks good questions to build his understanding of fractions in maths. In writing, he is striving to show his wonderful imagination. Well done, Oliver. |
2S | Vrish | For being a collaborative learner who encourages, supports and praises those around him. He shows kindness to his peers during collaborative learning and helps them out if they are stuck. Vrish is a positive role model in our Grade 2 classroom. Well done Vrish! |
