Y7 Orientation 2022

Thank you to Mrs Reynolds and Mr Owens for facilitating a wonderful orientation day for the 2022 Year 7 cohort! Lots of fun activities and tours of the campus made for a great day, it was exciting to see the group experience a taste of Huntingtower's Secondary School.

Over the last few weeks the MS students have been participating in fun project-based learning activities with the help of Mr Hellard and Mr Houghton. Here are photos of students testing the 'Mars Rovers' and 'Mars Rockets' they built themselves!

Taekwondo Awards

Chloe C (Year 10), Charlotte C (Year 8) and Matthew C (Year 5) recently competed in the Australian Taekwondo Online National Poomsae Championship in early November, after qualifying from the Victorian States competition earlier in October.  Poomsae is the sport of performing a defined pattern of defense and attack martial arts motions in Taekwondo and is scored by a panel of judges much like in a gymastics or diving competition.

What is Fair Trade?

Last week the Year 9 Geography students had the opportunity to hear Mr Clive Marriott speak about Fair Trade. Thank you to Mr Marriott, who is a HT parent, who generously gave his time to address the students.

Congratulations Mia!

Mia G, Year 8, has been cast in the new season of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

It is the world's most award-winning play and is currently playing at Melbourne's Princess Theatre. Not only is it a fantastic achievement to be cast in the show playing Lily Potter Jr, but this will also be Mia's professional theatre debut!

We wish Mia all the best. Well done!
