PFA/School Board News

School Advisory Council:

(Formally School Advisory Board)

As 2021 draws to a close, so does the end of an era at St Kevin’s. With Frances and Fr Gerry leaving, we have welcomed a new parish priest Fr Charles and will be welcoming a new Principal in 2022. After many (too many to count) years on the board and as Chair I feel it is time, also for me to hang up my boots as SAC Chair, alongside 2 long standing members. As a consequence, there are 3 SAC (formerly SAB) Council members positions available in 2022. St Kevin’s SAC is looking for dedicated people, whose interests lie in providing advice to the principal in the day to day procedures of the school, policies, communication to parents, report structure and school goals are all a focus of the group. Time commitment required is minimal, attending meetings on the second Tuesday of the month from February to November, approximately 1-1/2 hours in length- great excuse to escape the family and getting out of putting the kids to bed.

The SAC needs YOU!

I am more than happy to have a chat with you, if you need more information regarding the commitment and time frame that is required, Please contact Frances and give your expression of interest, If need be,  Frances can pass on my details to have a chat with you.

Although I am sad to see Frances, Fr Gerry and myself leaving the SAB, I am excited to see where the new people take St Kevin’s from 2022 and beyond.
