Term 2, Week 8

What a super busy term we have had!

Beginning with the Swimming Program earlier this term and ending with our PMP sessions.  We thank all the parents that have been able to come along to assist us throughout the term and look forward to working together in Term 3.

We have enjoyed our Integrated topic on Living Things, in particular our focus on the Chick Hatching Program.  Our students continued to develop their scientific vocabulary throughout the term, observing the growing chicks and looking at the needs of plants as well as the lifecycles of various Living Things.

The Foundation students continued to develop their Reading and Writing skills, linking the information to our mentor texts throughout the term.

In Numeracy, we have continued with counting, understanding the place value of teen numbers in terms of tens and ones, addition and measurement. We are amazed at how far they have come and the independence they show as learners. We are so proud of each student!

We are looking forward to our Parents/Teacher interviews over the next couple of weeks to share the wonderful achievements that students have made. We will also discuss future goals for your child going into Term 3.

Just a reminder, please put your name forward for PMP if you are able to assist at all.  A timetable will go out in the first week of the holidays, with a view to start early in Term 3.

You should have also received a Compass notification for our upcoming incursion “Fairy Tale Fiasco” in week 1.  There will be lots of fun and learning with our Fairy Tale Unit in Term 3.

Thank you for your support,

Vicky, Louise and Kirsten
