St Joseph's Skipping Club

GET READY FOR SOME FUN AND FITNESS

THE ST JOSEPH’S SKIPPING CLUB COMMENCES NEXT WEEK

For those who don’t know, I am the head coach of a skipping club in Brighton. I have several coaches who work for me running recreational and competitive skipping classes for children and adults. This term we are taking a team to compete at Nationals in Sydney and in July we have a team travelling to the US to compete in the World competition.

I am passionate about skipping as a positive and healthy activity for children of all ages. Not only does it improve fitness, coordination, agility and balance, it also builds confidence and self-esteem. IMPORTANTLY, anyone can learn how to skip in a very short space of time.

Students will learn a variety of skipping skills including single rope, partner, long rope, double dutch and speed skipping.

Classes will run in the hall at lunchtime for Years 3 to 4 on Tuesdays and 5 to 6 on Thursdays. Skipping ropes will be provided.

This is a fun and social activity and everyone is welcome.
