The Annual Autumn Concert

On Thursday, May 11th, The Instrumental Music Program held its 'Annual Autumn Concert' in the school auditorium to an absolutely packed house.

The program included all of our current ensembles and bands, showcasing the Rookie, Concert and Symphonic Bands, both Junior and Senior Stage Bands, The Choir, our two Guitar Ensembles and our three Strings Orchestras as well as our brand new Percussion Ensemble 'Drum Club'.

The concert ran for 2 hours highlighting the hard work and commitment from all our students to build a repertoire throughout the first term.

For many of our students, it was their first time in front of a live audience and they should all feel extremely proud of their efforts as each band performed beautifully.

Equally impressive was the stage hands (Jedi's) who worked hard back stage throughout the evening to set up staging, arrange performance chairs and stands, lighting and sound controls and kept the whole event very orderly.

We'd like to thank everyone involved in what was a wonderful and highly successful concert. Special thanks to Dion Beaugalhall for his tech support; Donald Hew for his accompanying work with the Choir; Kristy Arthurson for her photography on the night and to all the parents who came along to support their kids in their musical endeavours.

It was a brilliant event and the students were buzzing all night.
