Innovation

This term, across the Year 1 to Year 6 Communities, our Big Idea is Innovation. Through the concept of Play, each community is using the design process to develop ideas such as games for wet day programs, designing games for others and inclusive game design for all people.

The Year 1 and 2 Community are currently learning about procedural writing in order to be able to write instructions for others. They are examining different types of procedural texts and taking the time to test and carefully write out instructions.

This week, they took part in a range of design activities. There were workshops on sock puppets, stick people creations, making stress balls and music. In each workshop, they had to follow instructions in order to be successful in making the item.
