Lunch Clubs at SMDP

For some students break times at school are a great way to recharge their battery for learning, socialize with their peers and have fun. For some students lunch time breaks can be a challenging time to navigate the yard, find friends and think of activities to do.

At SMDP we offer all students the opportunity to attend lunchtime clubs during the first half of each lunch break (11.10-11.30) to help students that may need a break from the yard and to support students in being able to have a break from learning in a more structured environment.

Over the next few weeks our student leaders will be also running some games and activities at break times for any students that would like to participate, some of these activities will include relay races, playing with the parachute and sack races.

The juniors have been provided with a box of toys that they are able to take out and play in a passive space outside the office area. These toys consist of a range of dolls, cars and a car mat.

We are seeking any further donations of Barbie clothes, little cars, trains, trucks and possibly car tracks. If you have any of these items that you would like to donate to the school, could you please send them to the office and Rexi will be able to pass them on to our wellbeing team.

Thank you!
