Saltwater P-9 Wellbeing Team 2022

It is with great pleasure I introduce our caring and hardworking Wellbeing team to our school community to support your children and you as we navigate the 2022 school year.

Our team is here to offer support and provide programs for students and families in various ways and not limited to -

  • Differentiated learning in accordance with the curriculum
  • Provision of safe spaces for emotional and behavioural regulation
  • ILP and behaviour support plans and supporting teachers through this process
  • Guiding and supporting families through the process of applying for PSD funding
  • NDIS support
  • SSG meetings each term for our PSD funded students
  • Sensory fidgets and wobble chairs provided to those in need
  • Counselling and learning about human behaviour through our College Psychologist

If anyone is wondering what psychologists do, I could start with saying that we are specialists in human behaviour.  We study the brain, memory, learning, human development and the processes that determine how people think, feel, behave and react. This is so that I can help children to achieve academic success, psychological health and wellbeing, and social and emotional wellbeing.

It is our core goal to support our children to get the best out of life at school.

We have included some resource links for you to access to support the transition of the students for the new school year, apps to download for mindfulness support and outside agencies who offer services and additional supports for families.
