Welcome to our new chickens.

Yarrabah has two new chickens.  They will be helping out in the garden to scratch up the soil, provide fertilizer and eat our food scraps.  And they will provide us with lovely fresh laid eggs.

What should we name these chickens?

We are holding a competition to name our Yarrabah chickens.  We will take a gold coin donation for each suggestion, and the money collected will be used for the upkeep of our chooks.  Have your names and coins to the front office by Friday, 27 August for your chance to name a chicken. Don't forget to include your own name and class on your entry so that we can acknowledge your contribution.

Thank you Rosie

Rosie from upper junior got her hair cut and was able to donate

5 x 30cm plaits for wigs to be made for people with hair loss from alopecia aerate , cancer treatments or other causes.

Hair loss can be such a blow to self esteem, and can contribute greatly to mental health issues such as depression and anxiety.  This can impact relationships, ability to socialise and lead to feeling isolated.

Rosie's generous gift can be a life changer for those experiencing hair loss.  Thank you so much Rosie.
