Our special guest this issue is Lauri, Yarrabah's assistant principal.

Dear Parents and Carers, 

As we move through another period of circuit breaker restrictions for Victoria to swiftly address the recent COVID-19 outbreak; Yarrabah school moves quickly to provide our students with continued learning opportunities.  

Many of our students are learning onsite while other are learning remotely at home.  Our staff are providing daily Webex check ins and morning circle sessions are being run for student at home and at school.  Home packs of work were made by all sections and delivered to those learning from home.

We wish Marie Andoo all the best as she starts her maternity leave journey.  We look forward to hearing about the new addition to your family. 

Welcome

We welcome Kelly Langdon as a teacher in our Upper Secondary program.  Kelly has worked as a casual relief teacher across many of our local specialist settings including Yarrabah.  Kelly has settled in well and has already made strong relationships with her students.  We are looking forward to having Kelly join the Yarrabah Community.  

We also welcome Natalie Halton  to Yarrabah.  Natalie will be working in middles years as a co-educator. Natalie has also been working in local specialist settings.  We are looking forward to getting to know Natalie.  Natalie will start in middle years on the 16th August. 

Upcoming Events

Book Week 21st-27th August.   

The theme for Literacy week is Old Worlds, New Worlds and Other Worlds.  A number of activities are being planned; including assemblies (dependent on restrictions), costume parade, storytelling and a colouring competition. 

Wellbeing Week 6th-10th September.
