From the Principal's desk

Well coming back into Term 3 has been an interesting journey for us all. It is disappointing to be moving backward and forwards between on-site and remote learning but I think the children are handling it remarkably well. Please know that we are here to support you. If you have some wellbeing concerns or questions about learning do not hesitate to contact a member of the wellbeing team or classroom teacher. Our school office is open every day between 9.00 am to 3.30 pm.

I have had some questions raised concerning the school concert and school camps. At this stage, we will not be able to have a School Concert due to restrictions, but we have a performance evening planned for outdoors on our school site in early Term 4. It is too difficult to predict exactly what the restrictions will be in Term 4 but at this stage, we are hoping that school camps can go ahead.

Please make sure that you have the Compass App installed on your phones so you can keep up to date with the latest messages. It is a really good idea to have the notifications turned on for the app, so that when the teachers or myself send out a message you know the minute it comes through. If you need any assistance with this please call the office.

Parent Opinion Survey

Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents/caregivers/guardians think of our school. The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education and Training that is conducted amongst a sample of randomly selected parents/caregivers/guardians (previously known as the Parent Opinion Survey). It is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, student engagement and experiences of remote and flexible learning. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies. A random sample of 80 families have been asked to participate in this year’s survey. All responses to the survey are anonymous. This year, the Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey will be conducted from now to Friday 3rd September.

The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the fieldwork period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, or smartphones.
