OUR ENGLISH GOAL: To explore the structure and purpose of poetry.
Chloe H. read the poem ‘1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Once I caught a fish alive’. She was able to identify the author’s purpose and what type of text she thought it was.

Nathan chose a poem ‘Sleep, Baby, Sleep’ and identified the stanzas. He explained why he liked his poem.
Shayaan read the poem ‘Spring is here’. She was able to identify the number of stanzas and line breaks.
Students were asked to read the poem ‘Night’. Next they needed to create a poster about what they imagined.
OUR MATHS GOALS: Identify and sort 2D shapes as regular or irregular.
Callum went on a scavenger hunt to find 2D shapes.
CREATIVE CHALLENGES: Each week students engage in a creative challenge using recycled goods or lego from home.
