Principal's Report

Dear Parents & Guardians,

It is wonderful to have all students back. Whilst there are some changes and adjustments to our daily routine to ensure the health and safety of staff and students, the opportunity to reconnect with their teachers and classmates has been a highlight. We were certainly very impressed with the quality of the work the children produced during this time. The Olympics certainly captured the children’s interest.   As staff, we have been seeking feedback from the children around what worked well with remote learning and possible changes they would like. Students came up with some great ideas, these will be compiled and used to inform future practice.

PARENT/STUDENT/TEACHER INTERVIEWS

Unfortunately, our interviews scheduled for next week cannot be conducted onsite. Meetings will either be via the phone, facetime, or an online meeting. Staff will discuss with you what you prefer. Later in the term we aim to schedule some one-on-one meetings with families.

ADULTS ONSITE

Restrictions will continue on parent and visitor access to the school site for anyone other than immediate school staff, social distancing and mask wearing rules apply for all adults onsite.

We would respectfully ask that wherever possible communication with the school should be conducted through phone or email and if it is necessary to come onsite eg. to pick up your child for an appointment, please phone the school office ahead of time and we will assist you.

OSHC DROP OFF & PICK UP

Due to current restrictions, we will revert to the OSHC staff signing your children in and out. In the mornings children can be dropped at the gate and staff will bring them inside, when parents arrive for pick up if they go to the window children will be sent out.

I would like to commend our staff on their amazing work during this remote learning period. They have been a wonderful support to families both onsite at school and at home. We also thank our Toolamba Community for their support and patience during the state-wide lockdown.
