As Term 2 comes to a close, please remember that all training sessions for winter sports commence on first day back at school (Wednesday, 14th July) as Round 7 is the first Saturday back at school. Have a great holiday and stay active!

Are you interested in trying a new sport these holidays? 

Nepean Rowing Club School Holiday Come Try Session Nepean Rowing Club is offering a unique opportunity for individuals aged 12-18 years of age to experience rowing for FREE these school holidays. 

Session Details:  A ninety-minute session that introduces individuals to the sport of rowing and will provide them with basic rowing knowledge. The program caters for groups of no more than eight participants and is coached by qualified coaches. These sessions will include the rowing machine and rowing on the water in singles (individually). 

Location:  Nepean Rowing Club boatshed is located on 23 Bruce Neale Drive, Penrith, 2750. When The sessions for the June/July school holidays are: Monday, 28th June 10:30am to 12:00pm; Wednesday, 30th June 10:30am to 12:00pm;  Wednesday, 7th July 10:30am to 12:00pm; Sunday, 11th July, 11:30am to 1:00pm.

Who: The program is designed for individuals who are aged between 12-18 years old. However, if you do not fall within this age bracket, please get in contact to discuss other options to start rowing. It is a requirement of rowing that you have a basic swimming ability. 

What to bring:  Wear clothing that is suitable for exercise and which is not too loose fitting. Please wear enclosed shoes so that you can do the rowing machine aspect of the session. Bring a water bottle and hat. Also, bring a towel and spare clothes in case you do fall in the water. 

Cost: It is FREE. There is no cost associated with the session.

Just a reminder that notes will be sent out during Week 1 for the ISA Athletics Carnival. If you are unable to attend please see me as soon as possible so that your place may be filled by another available athlete.
