Share Our Success 2023

Term 2 started with an exciting opportunity for Year 7 students to re-connect with their primary school teachers and principals at our annual ‘Share our Success’ event.

Guests from over 16 primary schools attended our special day and the Year 7s shared their stories since arriving at Glen Eira College.  As part of the day Year 7 students took their teachers on a tour around the school, shared musical performances and speeches, finishing with an afternoon tea to continue sharing their ideas.

The day was very successful; Year 7 students showed maturity, leadership, good presentation and confidence.  It was great to see them step-up and approach their day with passion and excitement. 

Finally, the Year 7s expressed a desire to continue developing these skills and continue their relationships with the primary schools.

Year 7 Report May 2023

BUSY BEES!

It is hard to believe that we are already weeks into term 2; where does the time go?  Our Year 7s have firmly cemented themselves in the College, getting involved in the school by joining clubs, taking on leadership roles, volunteering for Open Night, hosting their former Primary School teachers during our ‘Share our Success’ afternoon and participating in various sporting competitions. So much has been accomplished in a such a short space of time. 

It never ceases to amaze me the level of confidence and charisma so many of our Year 7s embody to speak publicly in front of large audience numbers.  It is a time where we as Coordinators look on with such pride, while also scouting for our future leaders of the College.  We can confidently say we have a large pool of worthy candidates from this Year 7 cohort.  

Congratulations to all Year 7s who have stepped up and taken on a variety of leadership roles and flourished in the process.  We are proud of your efforts and your ability to lead by example; keep up the excellent work!
