Live for Lily Fundraising

Live for Lily was a joyous and successful event that was run by the Student Leadership Team. This is our 4th year supporting the Live for Lily Foundation. The Student Leadership Team sold countless hand-baked goods and sausages, and raised $1340, our most successful yet in donations for the Live for Lily Foundation. 

Lily Hester, Ms. Spinks's niece, would have been turning 18 this year, and finishing her final year of high school like many of us. We are thankful to have the opportunity to support the Live for Lily Foundation and help with the battle towards childhood cancer. A huge thank you goes to the teachers who volunteered themselves for the ice bucket challenge in support, and to the Macleod College community for the continuous contributions towards this great cause!

The school community voted through their donations, for the teacher they wanted to get dunked. At the end of the day, Ms. Spanos, Mr. Angelopoulos, Mr. Panaccio, Ms. Audino, Mr. Light and Mr. Gooding were all lined up for the ice bucket challenge. Only three teachers actually received the ice bucket. Years Prep to 12 watched as Ms. Spanos,         Mr. Panaccio and Mr. Angelopoulos met their icy fate!

The teacher’s took revenge with their water guns, spraying the innocent students who witnessed this glorious event! We look forward to running Live for Lily in 2024!
