ELC News 

The sun shone brightly on us all last Tuesday when we took the bus to Port Phillip EcoCentre for our very first excursion for 2023! We got our hands dirty and trained our eyes to look for tiny critters in the natural world that play such an important role in our local environment. 

We put our scientist hats on and made discoveries about worms and compost, water bugs and insects found in our community. 

Thank you to the staff and parents who made this wonderful experience possible for us. 

The F-2 staff wish all our families a safe and restful holiday break and look forward to seeing you all in Term 2!

Cooking

Last week, some students in Grade 1/2 had their first cooking session in the food tech space. Much to the students delight, they made buttered popcorn!

They learnt what equipment and ingredients were required. They were also able to put the steps in sequence. 

The students wrote down the steps and discussed the safety measures required in the kitchen. 

The excitement was high when waiting for the first pop!

They thoroughly enjoyed eating it fresh once it was made
