VET Music Show

Last week I was entertained by our Years Eleven and Twelve VET music students.  The high-class performance was enjoyed by a packed crowd of parents, students and supporters.  Under the direction of teacher, Mr Joe Fowler, the students performed an array of contemporary songs coupled with individual solo performances.  The Hospitality students provided refreshments.  It was a night that will be remembered by all those involved.

Interschool Swimming Carnivals

This week, the School competed in the GSSSSA Secondary Swimming Carnival and Primary Interschool Swimming Carnival.  The School was placed second in the Secondary carnival and first in the Primary carnival.  Could I congratulate all students involved along with staff members Mr Steve Berryman and  Mr Nathan Symonds.

The Griffins

The Great Southern Griffins sporting club continues to gain momentum in providing quality sporting opportunities for our students.  Mr Tom Moir, Chairperson of the Griffins, Mr Nathan Symonds and Mrs Louise Sprigg lead the sporting Chairs in organising and constructing procedures.  This summer season, the Griffins Basketball Club had an outstanding season with 32 teams and teams in both A1 divisions.  (Results)  I would like to congratulate the diligent work undertaken by Ms Nanette Keen, Chairperson and the Committee in arranging 32 teams in the Albany Basketball Association.
