It was a busy weekend last weekend. On Friday night students travelled into Eaton where they eagerly stocked up on supplies, readying themselves for the weekend ahead.

Saturday morning saw 18 students have a very early start, leaving the college at 5:45am to go to Perth for their Sea-Trek training. This had them familiarising themselves with the boats they’ll be using up north, getting used to how to control and steer the boats, setting the sails and pulling them down multiple times, learning to anchor and moor the boats properly, capsizing and then flipping them right way up again. It was a fun morning and helped to give students a basic understanding of what is expected once they get to Shark Bay next term.

From the Sea-Trek training they then met the rest of the staff and students at Adventure World. Amazingly Adventure World wasn’t too busy, which meant shorter lines and wait times. Students were able to have a great time, going on rides and water slides over and over again wearing themselves out and in some cases making themselves sick. All students should be commended on their behaviour. It was an amazing day enjoyed by both the staff and students. Everyone returned to the College tired but in good spirits. What an awesome way to end Term 1.

Residential staff wish everyone a Happy Easter and look forward to seeing you all next term.
