PBS – Positive Behaviour Support

We are reinvigorating an existing behaviour support program called Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) which targets expected positive behaviour and focuses on three key values which are important to our school setting; Respect, Aspiration and Safety.   Each value is broken down into finer sub-values to enable us to identify specific behaviours, to track and monitor these different behaviours, then to identify areas of concern which can be targeted in an explicit way.  Alongside this is work being done in the use of Compass as a tool to track behaviours so we can identify which of our PBS values and sub values need attention.

Our goal is to create a learning and living environment where students are positively engaged in the College community and are successful in their learning.
