PRODUCTION
Production polo shirts:
The sale of our Production polo shirts is our first production fundraiser for 2021. All funds raised help us to pay for all of the necessary items for this year's production (costumes, props, make-up etc). Polo shirts are now available to order. Please find order forms attached. Thank you for your support.
Volunteers
Thank you so much to the parents and friends who attended last Tuesday night’s meeting and for so many offers of help with this year’s production.
Thank you also to the group of Mums who came and spent a cold and dusty afternoon in the big shed on Friday, sorting some of our old props and working out what can be reused and repurposed. We very much appreciate your help.
We have created several ‘closed’ Facebook groups for us to communicate and organise all of the tasks that need to be completed to make our production a huge success.
If you have a Facebook account, you can search these groups by typing in the group names:
- GRPS The Generation Gap COSTUMES
- GRPS The Generation Gap PROPS/SET
- GRPS The Generation Gap MAKE-UP and HAIR
- GRPS The Generation Gap ADMIN
You can then request to join and you will be admitted to the group.
DONATIONS:
We are looking for the following items. (We cannot guarantee the return of these items. We amass 100s of items each production and unfortunately, things do go missing or get broken).
If you happen to be cleaning out the shed, cupboards or looking at FREE items on Facebook marketplace and come across any of the following items, we will happily accept donations of the following items.
Walking sticks, walking frames, inflatable pool toys, floaties, life vest, inflatable ring (to go around a child’s waist), goggles, snorkel, flippers, old plain sheets (light colours), plain white shirts (to fit children in years 5/6), tool belts, high vis vests, hard hats, onesies (to fit prep children), AFL footy supporter paraphernalia (beanies, scarves, flags), grey wigs, fake jewellery (pearls, beads), handbags, small cardigans (to fit children in grade 1).
Items can be brought to the Performing Arts room or left at the main office.
SPONSORS:
The costs involved in running our production can add up very quickly, with for example, stage hire, costumes, props, lighting, etc., and we are reaching out to local businesses to help us with these costs to ensure that this is our best production yet!
We have several levels of sponsorship available ranging from $100 to a GOLD sponsor of $500+, to donations of goods and/or services. In return, we can offer promotional opportunities for your business, such as advertisements in our newsletters, on our website, program, billboard and stalls in the foyer on Production nights. Every contribution helps us achieve our goal, and we would love to build an ongoing relationship between local businesses and our school community.
If you would like to get involved either by sponsorship or donation of goods and/or services, we would love to hear from you. Please contact Peta.Murray@education.vic.gov.au
