At last Friday’s Assembly we announced that NAGLE was the overall winning House at this year’s Whole School Athletic carnival. Nagle had such a great day at the track, gaining the most points in both the Junior and Senior carnivals! Year 6 Nagle Sports Leaders; Jackson R, Jaysha T, Zach S and Charles S were very excited to be presented with the perpetual Athletics Carnival shield.

Congratulationsalso goes to our Year 6 students; Joseph A. and Kyra C. for being awarded the Andrew Lesniewski Year 6 ‘House Spirit’ Awards. Both students are well deserving of this award in all aspects of positive attitude, effort, kindness and athletic efforts.

GOLF experiences in PE lessons
Over the past two weeks in PE lessons, our Year 2 to 6’s have been enjoying learning all about golf and the specific skills for chipping and putting. MyGolf Coach and PGA professional Paul Boxall has been taking the students for these lessons with Mrs Allen and Mrs Thompson.
Further opportunities: If you child is interested in taking golf one step further to experience this sport on a golf course, please take advantage of these School Holiday opportunities via clinics at Edithvale Public Golf Course. They are designed for children of all abilities and some clinics are free, with longer session clinics offered at a cost of either $25 or $60 with on-course play opportunities.

STARFISH LEARN-TO-SWIM LESSONS
It’s been a big two weeks for our Year 3 & 4’s, with one final Swimming session set for tomorrow/Friday!
Year Prep, One and Two families have now received their Operoo email with all relevant details and dates for their 9-session program, which begins day 2 of Term 2.
If we can please urge all families to respond to this Operoo permission request as well as completing the simple Google form link regarding your child’s swimming abilities. Thank you.
YEAR 3 – 6 INTER-HOUSE CROSS COUNTRY
FRIDAY 23RD APRIL
Races run from: 11.30am – 1.30pm, Dendy Park lower ovals.
Operoo emails have now been sent out to all Year 3 - 6 families regarding next term’s event.

YEAR 5&6 WINTER SPORT
Inter-School Football/Netball Program
Begins: Friday 30th April, Week 2, Term 2.
Next term all Year 5&6 students will get the opportunity to participate in the Dendy Winter Sport Inter-School Football and Netball competition. Students will travel to other schools and venues to play either netball or football over a number of Friday afternoons.
Students have submitted their sport preferences and teams are now being put together, ready for Week 2 of next term. Operoo emails with all information will go out in Week 1 next term.
PARENT HELP REQUEST: weekly support for bus supervision & umpires:
To assist with this program, we’d love the support from any parent/adult that is able to assist with either umpiring or support with ‘away’ travel on the bus. A formal request document with dates will go out early in term 2, however, please email your child’s teacher if you are able to assist on any of the following dates:
