Principal's Report

Principal's Message
Dear Families,
As we draw to the end of a very exciting Term 1 it is great to reflect on the many amazing things we have achieved.
We began the year with our Celebration week and Kaboom Sports, Prep Testing and the Year 6 Canberra Camp. We then had a short 3 day break for a mini lockdown and returned for Year 5 Camp, Interschool swimming, School Photos, Year 3 Reconciliation, Year 5 First Eucharist, Staff Wellbeing Conference, Meet the teacher conferences, Whole School Athletics, Three School Open Days and tours, Year 3 & 4 Swimming lessons and we will conclude the term next week with the P & F Walkathon and Holy Week activities.
I think we are all deserving of a well earned break so we are ready and recharged for the learning opportunities of Term 2!
Year 5 First Eucharist
Congratulations to our Year 5 Students who have all received the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time this week. Our last group being tonight. I would like to thank Ms Louisa Di Pietro, Miss Annalisa Gourley, Mrs Amanda Norton and Mrs Ania Von Oxenberg our dedicated Year 5 team, for their preparation of the children this year and the continued support from Mr. Steele Anderson our Deputy Principal and Religious Education Leader.
Special thanks to Fr Ian for his support of our children, their families and our wonderful school. Thank you also to the St. Finbar’s Staff who have supported us as well. It is greatly appreciated.
Mother's Day Lunch
Our amazing P & F will once again be holding the Mother's Day Breakfast and stall on Friday 7th May. On this day we also have our Mother's Day Lunch please see the attached Flyer for booking details.

Walkathon Helpers Needed
The annual P & F walkathon is scheduled for next Thursday morning and we require more helpers please. If you are available to assist please click on the document attached below for more information.
NAPLAN Online
Today we successfully completed our NAPLAN Online trial session. The schools' network and infrastructure passed with flying colours. Please note that any online tests completed today by students will not be recorded under any NAPLAN data services. The test was purely an infrastructure test for the school so we are ready for the actual NAPLAN test in May.
End of Term 1
Next Thursday 1st April is the last day of Term 1. We will be finishing at 1:50pm on this day. Out of hours care will be available from 1:50pm. Please see further in this newsletter for additional information.
God Bless,
Pat Berlingeri
