Carmel Stutterd

Dear families,

ANZAC Day this Sunday.

God of love and liberty, we bring our thanks this day for the peace and security we enjoy, which was won for us through the courage and devotion of those who gave their lives in time of war. We pray that their labour and sacrifice may not be in vain, but that their spirit may live on in us and in generations to come. That the liberty, truth and justice which they sought to preserve may be seen and known in all the nations upon earth. This we pray in the name of the one who gave his life for the sake of the world, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen

Welcome back to term 2. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are ready for a busy term 2. I hope everyone is managing the change over from Montes to our school's website for all the information you need about what is going on within the school. Three updated policies have been added to the website. (For Families tab).

Working Bee

On Saturday 8 May from 8am to 12 pm we are having a working bee. An Operoo will be sent home today and I am asking parents to fill in the response as to your attendance for some part of the morning. This working bee is really important to the school.

We have 2 older playgrounds that need some repair and maintenance.I really need many hands to get through the list of jobs that need to be completed to keep these playgrounds opened.

NAPLAN for Gr 3 & 5 students

NAPLAN for all Grade 3 & 5 students will take place on Tuesday 11 May; Wednesday 12 May and Thursday 13 May. If you do not want your child to participate in these assessment tasks please contact your child's teacher. It is encouraged that all students partake in these tests, but it is not compulsory.

New Administration Building

We are continuing to meet with the architects and get the design within the budget of 1.8m. I hope to share the deign with you within the next few weeks. It is an exciting time for the school to improve the entrance of the school from the street and to to open up the admin area and the leadership spaces.
