Visual Communication Design Year 8-12

 

VCE Unit 3/4 

Students in Unit 3/4 have been redesigning a kitchen (you saw them working on the floor plan last newsletter). They developed their initial ideas into a scaled floor plan and then translated this into a 3D presentation.

VCE Unit 1/2 

Students in Unit 1/2 who finished the main task started to work on a mini version of a year 12 folio, they could choose from any of the design fields, and had to create something for a specific purpose. Finnigan developed a logo ‘EFS’ for a fabric store.

Year 10

Year 10 students have been working on a digitally designed logo for an organic product. They then created a packaging net for that product to mimic how it would be displayed in shops, including adding the logo to the design.

Year 9

The second assignment for Year 9 Visual Communication Design was to design a logo for an organic product. Once this task was completed students were introduced to their next task – to design vehicle for 2030!!! Guest speaker from Ford came to talk to the students about what a designer does and how you can design a car, including why it is important to consider the proportions of a car. 

 

Year 8

At the end of this term Year 8 students have been learning about different technical drawings withing Visual Communication Design.
