International Women's Day

Six young female Indigenous students represented Gisborne Secondary College at the Macedon Ranges International Women's Day celebration. Georgia S, Lilly S, Eden B, Saskia W, Eloise P and Lilah Y travelled to Kyneton Town Hall and joined over 150 other attendees from schools and organisations across the region. 

They listened to keynote speaker Antoinette Braybrook - CEO of Djirra which provides legal support to Koori women experiencing family violence. She was also awarded the 2022 Melbournian of the Year. Our students were brilliant representatives of the school and outstanding feedback was given from the Mayor and CEO of the Macedon Ranges Council regarding the way they conducted themselves.
