Student achievements

Congratulations to the following students:

Ava Read (Year 11), Mia Anderson and Chloe Broomhall (Year 10), who have been named in the 2023 Tasmania Devils Coates Talent League Girls squad. The squad will represent Tasmania on the national stage, with the Talent League season kicking off on Saturday 18 March. Well done on your selection!

Arabella Butterworth-Barry (Year 9), who showcased her talents as a cellist at the 2023 Tasmanian Music Teachers' Conference held recently at The Friends' School. Arabella performed as part of a piano trio with two peers from the Tasmanian Youth Orchestra.

The workshop was conducted by Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra violist, Jo St Leon who worked closely with the newly formed student trio, Two's Company. An outstanding achievement, Arabella. The College looks forward to following your musical journey.

Audrey Long (Year 8), who recently competed in the Australian Meeting of Young Beekeepers, a two-day challenge that tests the skills and knowledge of the next generation of beekeepers and bee advocates.

Audrey won second place in the competition, securing her spot on the national youth beekeeping team which will represent Australia at the International Meeting of Young Beekeepers to be held in Slovenia in July 2023.

Well done on this excellent achievement, Audrey! We are pleased to see you accomplishing great things and trust you will enjoy this life-changing experience.
