Changes to Week 11
On Wednesday 5th April there will be a Mufti Day for all students. Wear your colourful Easter accessories.
After second break at 1:50pm we will be drawing our Easter raffle and announcing the winner of our Easter egg guessing and colouring in competitions. Also, the students of Stage 1 will be performing a song they have been learning with Miss Sampson during CAPA. Parents are more then welcome to attend this assembly.
On Thursday 6th April students are to wear their Sports Uniform for the Cross Country.
Please note: there will be no Canteen on Thursday 6th April.
Return to Term 2- Uniform
Students may continue to wear their summer school uniform in Term 2. We will officially change into winter uniform after the long weekend in June. We ask that whichever uniform your child elects to wear, that they wear the full uniform correctly - please do not mix summer and winter uniform items. Thank you for your support with this.
Anzac Day
St Joseph's Primary School will be participating in this year's ANZAC March on Tuesday 25th April. We encourage all students fom Kindergarten to Year 6 to represent our school. Children wishing to participate in the march are asked to meet teachers at 9:30am in Bourke Street. At the conclusion of the march, all students can be collected from Number 1 Oval . Students are to wear their correct SUMMER uniform (including hat).
Mobile Phone and other Electronic Devices
At St Joseph's we acknowledge that parents may wish their child to carry a mobile phone for personal safety reasons however, once students arrive at school they must hand in their mobile phone, smart watch or other electronic device at the school office. Devices will be returned to the students at the end of the day. All electronic devises that are brought in to school are at the owners risk. No liability will be accepted by the school in the event of loss, theft or damage of the device.
P & F Meeting
The next P & F meeting will be held on Tuesday 2nd May 2023 at 5:30pm in the Staffroom. All parents and friends are welcome to attend.
Enrolments Kindergarten 2024
We are now accepting enrolment applications for Kindergarten 2024. Applications close on Thursday 6th April. After this date, late applications may be confined to a waiting list. Interviews for new families will be conducted early in Term 2.
Science & Engineering Challenge
Year 5 will be attending the Science & Engineering Challenge at the TREC on Friday 31st March. All students attending will need to wear their SPORTS UNIFORM and bring a packed morning tea and lunch.
Easter Egg Raffle
Raffle tickets and monies are due in by this Friday 31st March. The P & F would like to thank families and friends for their support of this years Easter Egg Raffle.
Chess
Chess is held in the hall each Monday during lunch with Mrs McNeill. Chess is one of the most powerful educational tools available to strengthen a child's mind. Whatever a child's age, chess can enhance concentration, patience and perseverance.
All year levels are welcome.
Student Absence
Due to Government Legislation, notification of your child's absence must be received no later than 7 days after your child's last day of absence. Please lodge all student absences on Compass Parent Portal or notify the school.
School Fees
Term 1 2023 Statement of School Fees were emailed to families/carers recently. If you have not received an email containing your statement, please check your spam/junk folder.
Payment options are clearly indicated on the bottom section of your statement. By choosing the Bpay form of payment, you are able to set up a payment plan. You can stop, start or change it to suit your financial requirements throughout the year.
The fees are due 31st March 2022.
You can also view your ongoing statement of fees through the Compass Parent Portal.
We will continue to accept cash and have EFTPOS facilities available.
All canteen, clothing pool and uniform purchases will continue to use QKR.
