Victorian Sporting Scholarships

INSTITUTION	SCHOLARSHIP	BENEFITS	VCE REQUIREMENTS
ACU	Elite Athlete and Performer Program	Depending on the proven elite level of the athlete or performer, students may receive scholarship grants of up to $2000	Current Students or students who have already accepted an ACU offer, including postgraduate students, can apply at any time during the year.
LA TROBE	Michael Malthouse Elite Sports Bursary	$10,000 awarded to a student with high academic achievement, and currently competing at state, national or international level in their chosen sport.	Australian student commencing a course at a La Trobe campus; and expecting to attain an ATAR of 90+
MONASH	Team Monash Elite Student Performer Scheme	$100 to $1000 one-off payment and/or a Monash Sport gym membership	Australian student commencing or continuing an undergraduate or postgraduate course at a Monash campus in Australia, including Monash College.
UNI MELBOURNE	Sport Scholarship	Sport Scholarship Support may include: Up to $2,000 to assist with travel, equipment and associated coaching costs Subsidy up to $1000 for representation at University Games/Championships 12 Month ScholarFit membership at Melbourne University Sport Physiotherapy services Strength and Conditioning	Domestic students must meet the prerequisites of the course; and can demonstrate that their training, competition, performance and/or practice commitments have interfered with their previous studies. Please note: In order to be eligible for the Elite Athletes and Artistic Performers Entry Scheme, athletes and artistic performers must be identified and recognised as an elite athlete or performing artist by one of the organisations listed on the application form.
VICTORIA	Elite High Performance Scholarship	up to $2000 in cash support Victoria University Aquatic and Fitness Centre annual membership (ScholarFit). Australian University Games (AUG) package cost waived (travel costs not included) elite athlete recognition enabling recipient to be considered for academic flexibility where training and competition (especially due to international travel) impacts on course attendance, enrolment status and /or assessment tasks access to VU health services (Osteopathy, massage and nutrition clinics)	Must be a current student at VU, so once enrolled may apply.

Elite athletes should note that most institutions offer very tailored support to athletes, including extension of deadlines for assignments, modified academic programs to take into account training, etc.; possible funding towards travelling for event (this would be for amateur athletes only), etc.
