Assistant Principals' Report

Term 3 Begins

Term 2 ended on a highlight with an outstanding whole school assembly.

A variety of items and performances were presented from each area of the school. There were also two other highlights, our school band performed one of their best gigs to date, 'Stay Out of Our Way'  is one of their own compositions. The current line-up is Chelsea and Amy (vocals), Nick (guitar), Dom (bass), Joseph (drums) and Emma (keyboard). Thanks to the talented Justin Hall for his musical direction. If you did not hear them go to Concord School’s face book page or click on  https://www.facebook.com/concordk12vt.org#!/concordschoolvictoria/videos/vb.129472853774662/832755106779763/?type=2&theaterhts

Further, we have been fortunate to now have Darryl Smith as an Aboriginal elder supporting the school. Darryl is the grandfather of Jason in PMR and is involved in many programs providing direct support to local community members and as well is a member of the CFA. Darryl delivered the Welcome to Country, told us about his background, and presented the school with the plaque below. This plaque is now in the reception area at our Bundoora Campus and we will soon have one to display at our Watsonia Campus.

Parent Opinion Survey

On Monday the 27th July our Parent Opinion Survey will be mailed to randomly selected families within the school. Each year the school conducts an opinion survey of 15 per cent of the school community. Parents are randomly selected to participate and we use the information to inform and direct our future school planning and improvement.

The survey is designed to take no more than 20 minutes to complete and your feedback and opinions play an important role in making our school the best it can possibly be. If you receive a survey please complete it and send it back to school with your child. Your opinions and ideas are valued as we work together to ensure that Concord School continues to provide the best educational outcomes for your children.
