Sustainability at St. Raphael's

Garden Club at home

Thank you to all the children who have signed up to Garden Club at home.  You can still join our online google classroom through class code  rw36udh.

On our google classroom, you will find simple cooking adventures and outdoor activities to keep you busy, entertained and learning.  Last week, we commemorated Anzac day by sharing an Anzac biscuit recipe.  Some students had a go at home and shared their photos with us.

One of our outdoor activities was to create Garden Art using natural materials found in the backyard.  Two of our junior school students did a fabulous job of creating beautiful patterns with leaves, sticks and petals.

Friday night - movie night!

Everyone loves family movie night so why not choose a movie with meaning.  The following list has some great examples of family movies with sustainability themes, so grab some popcorn and settle in for a great evening together.

1000's paper cranes

Last newsletter we set the challenge for our school community to make over 1000 paper cranes.  Remember, you don't need fancy paper.  Old magazines or picture storybooks are perfect to create beautiful colourful cranes.  We would love to see your progress in our Garden Club classroom, so send through a photo and inspire others to get folding.
