Middle School Report  

GOALS

Week one this term saw the 2016 ABCN GOALS representatives head into the city for their Completion Ceremony. This gave the students the opportunity to set long term goals for their careers and pathways and also to reflect on their experience. The ceremony was attended by Kerrie Dowsley, Shona Cowell and Lynda Vo.

The students demonstrated maturity and growth as they addressed their mentors with poise and a real sense of achievement. Some of the reflections made by students included “finding my strengths and understanding how to use these in the future”, “gaining confidence to talk to and address people in a professional manner” and “setting clear goals and challenges for myself and achieving them with pride”. The skills and confidence that the students gained while on this program were immeasurable.

We wish to thank all students who took part in the program. They represented that school in an excellent manner and demonstrated their commitment and dedication to achieve their best and “give it a go”.

Also, thank you to the Australian Business and Community Network (ABCN) who facilitated the program. Last but not least, the students wish to thank their mentors.  Without them and their guidance, this program would not be the success that it was.
