Year 10 & Year 8 Extension English

Last term, students from SASC’s Year 10 and Year 8 Extension English classes travelled to Melbourne’s Arts Centre to view a performance of Bell Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Students have studied different Shakespeare plays this year, and the performance gave an interesting insight into how the Bard’s work can be adapted for different audiences. This hilarious interpretation showed that a play written over 400 years ago can still have irresistible appeal for young people in 2016.

Congratulations to the two classes for their exemplary behaviour and engaged attitudes on this excursion.
