Year 9 City Experience 2015
Year 9 classes took part in the City Experience from the 7th to the 11th of September. There were lots of activities starting with a visit to the Shrine on the Monday, observing Melbourne from a height at the Eureka sky deck and looking at paintings and sculptures at the NGV. Students also attended two theme days where they chose groups and opted for themed activities to take part in. The two most popular activities were the Docklands Experience, which involved a tour of Etihad stadium, ice skating and a ride on the Melbourne Star and playing a variety of sports at MSAC.
The final day culminated in a celebration with a river cruise down the Yarra to Williamstown where students ate lunch and celebrated by taking part in performing to the group. The group then took a stroll down to Williamstown Beach before heading off home.
The final part of the week was the Expo evening on the 17th of September where students displayed and explained the main focus of their research.
Thank you to all the teachers who came out and helped during the week especially the year 9 Learning Managers and the Middle School Team.
