Year 8 Walkathon
Friday October 23rd was the annual Brimbank Walkathon. This was a compulsory event for all Year 8 students to attend. Students hiked approximately 5 kms to the park and then participated in sports events run by the PE staff. Afterwards the students enjoyed icy poles and healthy salad rolls made by the Junior School. The teachers and students had a wonderful day. The next event or Year 8 will be the Graduation Dance held in the last week of this term.

2016 PLANNING
Planning is taking place for the new school year in 2016. If your child will be moving schools next year could you please inform your child’s coordinator, in writing, as soon as possible. If you are planning a holiday and your child will not return to school on the first school day of 2016 we also need these details.
HOT WEATHER
With warmer weather approaching, students are reminded that only water bottles are permitted in classrooms. Students will not be allowed to leave class to get drinks from the taps.
YEAR 8 CAMPS
8G and 8C have both had their camps this Term. They have thoroughly enjoyed the experience at Strathbogie. All remaining Year 8 classes will attend camp over the rest of Term 4. The camp has provided a wonderful opportunity for students to forge strong relationships with their classmates and teachers.
Thanks to Mr Micallef for his ongoing support and organisation of these camps.
